Creamy Seafood Pasta Salad

This Creamy Seafood Pasta Salad is packed with tender shrimp, sweet lump crabmeat, crisp vegetables, and a rich, flavorful dressing made with Kewpie mayo and Caesar dressing. It’s the perfect make-ahead side dish for cookouts, holidays, seafood boils, potlucks, and family gatherings. Best of all, it tastes even better after chilling overnight.

Ingredients

  • 16 oz rotini pasta cooked and drained
  • 1 lb shrimp cooked and lightly seasoned
  • 1 lb lump crabmeat
  • cups Kewpie mayonnaise
  • 1 cup Ken’s Caesar Salad Dressing
  • 2 tsp fresh dill
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp Salad Supreme Seasoning
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • ½ tsp MSG optional
  • Juice from ½ lemon
  • ¼ red onion diced
  • ½ red bell pepper diced
  • 2 celery stalks diced

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the Kewpie mayonnaise, Caesar dressing, fresh dill, garlic powder, Salad Supreme seasoning, sugar, MSG (if using), and lemon juice until smooth.
  2. Add the diced red onion, red bell pepper, and celery. Stir to combine.
  3. Add the cooked and cooled rotini pasta. Toss until evenly coated.
  4. Gently fold in the shrimp and lump crabmeat.
  5. Allow the pasta salad to cool completely if any ingredients are still warm.
  6. Cover and refrigerate for at least 6 hours or overnight.
  7. Stir well before serving.
  8. Taste and adjust seasoning only after chilling.
  9. Serve cold and enjoy.

Recipe Notes

For best results, chill overnight.
Wait until after chilling to adjust seasoning.
Do not freeze.
Add additional mayo or Caesar dressing if needed when serving leftovers.
Gently fold in the crabmeat to maintain texture.
