Caramel Apple Egg Rolls Recipe

Dessert egg rolls?? Sign me up! I had a can of caramel apple pie filling chilling in my pantry for at least 3 months. I bought it while preparing my Walmart delivery online. I have no clue how I ended up on that page. Anyway, I’d never seen the caramel apple flavor. I had to get it. I had no idea what I’d use it for. I invited friends over for hibachi and needed a quick dessert. Light bulb! Dessert egg rolls. Easy and DELICIOUS!

Surprisingly, the canned apples aren’t very sweet. I like that. That means we can control how sweet we want them. I just add a little brown sugar and cinnamon. We’ll add more sweetness later.

Cookies, it’s later. Lol Okay, so I use softened cream cheese. Very, very soft. Leave it out of the fridge for a few hours. Or use the “melt” setting on your microwave if you have it. Cheat code: Philadelphia cream cheese melts like a dream! Now, mix in your little sugar and vanilla. Get to whisking.

I can’t describe wrapping an egg roll in text. Just watch my tutorial. It’s easy. I still kind of suck at it, but I do what I can, ya know? I spoon in 3 apples per wrapper. I usually get about 10-12 rolls this way. Just depends on how generous your can of filling is.

Deep fry or pan fry these things for about 2 minutes. They don’t take long to brown at all, so don’t step away too far. Drain on a wired rack instead of paper towels. This will maintain the crispness. Don’t drain for too long. We have that cinnamon and sugar stick!

I like to drizzle a bit of cream cheese frosting on top. I already have my recipe on here. Pop it in the microwave for a few seconds. That will make it easier to drizzle. I just realized I enjoy saying the word “drizzle”.

My mom told me to tell you to try this with ice cream. Says it’s a game changer. I believe her. Trust my mom and grab a pint!

Easy Peach Cobbler

Cookies, I tweaked my peach cobbler recipe and little. No, nothing’s changed with how much I HATE baking. No, I really hate it! But, I do it. However, it has to be simple and quick. Cause I can’t deal with mixers and ovens for too long! But, my Peach Cobbler is worth the small hassle. Okay, first thing’s first, I will probably NEVER use fresh peaches!peaches I refuse to peel, pit, and chop those things. I ain’t for all that. Lazy Cook Chronicles Vol. 1. If you accept me for who I am, please do continue….

  12. Dot with butter.
  13. Bake for 30-40 mins until it's golden and bubbly.
  14. Enjoy!
Notes
  1. Check on it after 15 mins of baking. If the crust is browning a little too quickly around the edges, just tear some foil and cover them. Slide it back into the oven and continue baking.
  2. Make yo own pie crust if you're bout that life 😎👇🏽
Crust recipe
  1. Break out your food processor and pulse about 2 cups of flour, a couple teaspoons of granulated sugar, and a cup (2 sticks) of really cold butter in a food processor. I cut the butter in lil pieces. Drizzle in about a tsp of ice cold water at a time and pulse until it clumps together. Pour out, ball it together, slice ball in half, wrap it in cling wrap and refrigerate for at least an hr. It can be frozen as well.

Praline Fudge Brownies

Happy Saturday!! I have something sweet AND chocolate for ya! Praline Fudge Brownies!! The brownies in the picture are homemade, but Duncan Hines wouldn’t mind helping out either. I’d rather you buy a box of mix this time if you’re new to making pralines. Because, baby, that candy needs alllll of your attention! No, don’t be afraid! It’s really a lot easier than you think. Just pray first! Jesus will fix em!

Pralines
  1. First you PRAY! Lol no seriously. Candy is stressful!
  2. Then put EVERYTHING, except pecans and vanilla, in the pot.
  3. Cook on high, stirring constantly until mixture comes to a bubbly, popping boil! It will literally pop.
  4. Then turn the heat down to medium and let it cook for 3 mins! You don't even have to stir it.
  5. After 3 mins. Remove from heat, add in vanilla, and stir vigorously until candy thickens.
  6. Add pecans and quickly spread over the brownies. They harden fast.
  7. Enjoy!
Notes
  1. If you use a candy thermometer or the "soft ball method" great! This is just my way of doing it without a thermometer.
